Proteus Operable Louvre
Proteus Operable Louvre is a mechanically operated, single-bank extruded aluminium louvre system providing controllable ventilation and greater flexibility than a fixed louvre system. Its 100 mm pitch blades can be adjusted to respond to changing ventilation, screening and closure requirements.
The system is suited to plant rooms and other façade openings where equipment requires screening while airflow needs to be controlled.

A mechanically operated, single-bank extruded louvre system for plant-room screening and controllable ventilation applications.
Performance Ratings
Airflow:
- Air Inlet: 0.37, including bird guard
- Air Extract: 0.45, including bird guard
Rain Defence:
- 0 m/s suction velocity — Class A2
- Up to 1.5 m/s suction velocity — Class B2
- Up to 2.0 m/s suction velocity — Class C2
- Up to 3.5 m/s suction velocity — Class D2
Published rain-defence classification varies with suction velocity through the louvre. System selection should consider the project airflow requirement together with the required degree of weather protection.
Adjustable blades allow the façade opening to transition between closure and ventilation, with the system designed to combine airflow performance in the open condition with weather protection in the closed condition.
Applications
Proteus Operable Louvre is intended for screening and ventilation applications where airflow needs to be actively controlled rather than provided through a permanently fixed blade arrangement.
